Harnessing the Power of Emotion for Healing & Growth

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is a healing-oriented, emotion-focused approach that aims to help individuals transform pain and suffering into resilience, growth, and emotional well-being. Grounded in attachment theory, AEDP creates a safe, compassionate therapeutic environment where clients can explore and process difficult emotions and experiences. Through moment-to-moment tracking of emotions and bodily sensations, AEDP helps clients access core emotional states, process unresolved trauma, and uncover their innate capacity for healing.

By focusing on the healing potential within each individual, AEDP empowers clients to move beyond pain and trauma, enabling them to experience greater self-awareness, connection, and emotional freedom.

Transformative Couples Therapy

Fulfillment Through Connection.

At JP Family Therapy, we are hopeful romantics who strongly believe in the power of Transformative Couples Therapy (TCT) to unlock the love and connection we all crave. Previously known as AEDP for Couples, TCT provides a uniquely positive and highly effective approach to strengthening relationships by creating a safe space for honesty, truth-telling, and emotional intimacy.

What makes Transformative Couples Therapy so unique? It goes beyond just healing—it helps you and your partner grow, evolve, and imagine a future filled with confidence, connection, and fulfillment. Each session leaves couples feeling rejuvenated, seen, understood, and deeply loved.

The greatest gift of TCT is experiencing a profound, co-created sense of love and partnership. It enhances your ability to both give and receive love in ways that are genuine, meaningful, and transformative.

Family Therapy

JP Family Therapy uses a collaborative approach that focuses on improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening relationships within families. This form of therapy considers the family as a system where each member’s behaviors and emotions affect the others. Family therapy sessions often involve exploring family dynamics, addressing patterns of interaction, and fostering understanding and support among members. Techniques may include role-playing, communication exercises, and problem-solving strategies. Family therapy is particularly effective for addressing issues such as parenting challenges, blended family adjustments, and healing from family-related trauma. By working together, families can build healthier connections and create a supportive environment for all members.

Military & Their Families

At JP Family Therapy, we have a deep commitment to supporting military personnel and their families. Our approach focuses on the entire family unit, as we understand that the well-being of the family directly influences the service member's experience. Without nurturing, supportive relationships, military service members and veterans may face heightened risks of struggles like isolation, anger, avoidance, and depression. If you are connected to the military in any capacity, we encourage you to reach out. Together, let’s embark on this journey.
